Leroy H Manchester Obituary Leroy Manchester, 93 of Richmond died August 25, 2011 in Medilodge of Richmond. He was born April 9, 1918 in Redford Twp. Michigan to the late Everett and Fray (Hughes) Manchester. He was baptized into the Christian faith on June 7, 1931. Leroy attended Clinton High School, Clinton, MI and was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy. He later retired from Chrysler Corporation where he was a truck driver and a member of UAW Local 212. Mr. Manchester married Shirley Wilson in Angola, Indiana in 1937. He later married Jeanette Antonczak in Detroit, Michigan on October 3, 1942. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Richmond, the Mobile Muskrats Camping Club, and Side by Side Campers. He enjoyed woodworking, duck carving, traveling, camping, photography, farming, and spending time with his family. He is survived by children: Neal and Bev Manchester of Statesville, NC, Judith and Ron Francoeur of Adrian, MI, Susan and John Huhn of White Lake Twp, MI, and Elsie Manchester of Richmond, MI, grandchildren: Teresa, Gina, Erin, Neal II, Shirley, Belinda, Gary, Lisa, Todd, Christina, Robert, and many great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Jeanette on Feb. 20, 1987, and siblings Elsie Peltier, Geraldine Jedele Miller, Clifford, Everett, Arthur, Lloyd, Gerald and Robert Manchester. A funeral service will be Monday at 12pm in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Richmond. Rev. Randy Lett will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 10am to 12pm in the church.
